ALBAWABA - An Israeli soldier named Maor Schwartz recently sparked outrage on social media after publishing a video on his own page of the reported kidnapping of a Palestinian family in Jabalia, Northern Gaza.

According to reports on X (formerly Twitter), the video was taken months prior and captured a family of six consisting of two elderly women and four children.

Initial reports indicated that the family's fate was unknown. However, an account on X called 'MO' claimed that the family is reportedly doing fine and wrote, "After searching and communicating, I am pleased to inform you that the family is doing well, and they are from the Nassar family, residents of Gaza City. The children and everyone are fine."

While the video had limited audible speech, the family looked visibly distressed as they awaited orders from the Israeli soldier.

The shared clip generated widespread concern among pro-Palestine and human rights activists on social media, with many condemning the Israeli occupation and its treatment of Palestinians.

A social media user wrote on X, "The video needs no explanation; the image reveals the occupation's brutality and its mentality in dealing with human beings."

They added, "The kidnapping of children and the elderly is not just a war crime; it is an expression of a coordinated policy to dehumanize Palestinians. Where is the world? Where is justice?"

Another user said, "This is Israel. Inhumane, depraved, and sadistic. Impunity, entitlement, and supremacy foster a toxic culture of murderous mutation..."

In contrast, several pro-Israeli accounts showered accounts that reshared the video with comments accusing them of spreading "Pallywood" propaganda and "fake news."

A pro-Israel account wrote, "All I see is a family standing around, waiting for a supposed Israeli soldier to finish checking the house. But we already know what #PallyWood is like and we already know that you know how to speak Hebrew. Why aren't they showing the full video? #FakeNews"
