Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta offered rewards to athletes who got medals in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

According to local media, Kenyatta revealed cash rewards of one million shillings- Over $9,000 to nationals who won medals in the Olympics.
The president split the amount as 6,860 dollars and 4,570 dollars for gold, silver medals and bronze medalists respectively.

Moreover, the Kenyan president asked the Ministry of Sports to identify, enhance and develop athletes' talents starting from an early age.
Mr. Kenyatta also announced a reward of around $1,827 for all athletes and officials, including the Paralympics team.
Kenya has earned 10 medals in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Japan- four gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
