ALBAWABA- A wedding in India’s Lucknow state turned into a scene of chaos when an uninvited guest—a leopard—crashed the celebrations, sending guests running for their lives.
The bizarre incident occurred late Wednesday night at MM Lawn on Buddeshwar Ring Road in Para, just as Akshay Srivastava and Jyoti Kumari’s wedding was in full swing.
The joyous occasion quickly turned into a frenzy when the big cat was spotted prowling the venue around 11 PM. Panic spread like wildfire, with guests scrambling for safety. Some fled onto the road, while one terrified guest jumped from the first floor, sustaining injuries.
The bride and groom, abandoning all ceremonial grace, bolted to their car and locked themselves inside.
Forest department officials and police rushed to the scene, launching a tense five-hour rescue mission. The leopard was eventually found hiding in a room on the first floor.
As forest official Muqaddar Ali approached, the feline lunged, striking him with its paw. Footage from the scene showed Ali’s left hand covered in blood.
Amid the pandemonium, two camerapersons were also injured after being knocked over in the chaos.
The operation continued until 3:30 AM, when officials finally managed to capture the leopard. Once the unexpected guest was removed, shaken but relieved guests resumed the wedding rituals—making it a night they would never forget.
