ALBAWABA - The Lebanese community was shocked after the body of a young man, called Charbel Hadchiti, was found in the middle of the street in Bchamoun town.
Lebanese authorities announced arresting a Lebanese person, identified as B.A. who was born in 1996, and he confessed to committing the horrific crime.
On Sept. 3, the Choueifat Municipal Police found the body of Hadchiti, 29, a resident of Dekwaneh, at the intersection of the town of Bchamoun in Lebanon.
Later on, the security forces announced on X that following the discovery of the murdered Charbel Hadchiti on Sept. 3 in the Bchamoun area, the Information Branch arrested on Sept. 4, the person, behind the killing of Hadchiti.
It added: "The investigation is underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary to determine the reasons and circumstances of the crime."
The family of the victim condemned the "heinous crime that claimed the life of their murdered son, Charbel Ramez Hadchiti," calling on the judiciary and security services to quickly uncover the circumstances of the crime and arrest its perpetrators, Annahar newspaper reported on Thursday morning.
The reason behind the horrific crime has not been uncovered yet by the Lebanese police, however, many theories were made on social media with people allegedly saying that Cherbel was in love with a girl who was from another religion.
They continued claiming that the relationship angered the girl's family and pushed them to kill Charbel Hadchiti.
Meanwhile, the Lebanon Debate website reported citing the victim's relative that he was engaged to a Christian girl and they were about to get married, denying all the rumors spreading on social media.
