ALBAWABA - A picture of a newspaper from 1979 has gone viral on social media platforms in which it mentioned the 2024 eclipse.
In the newspaper, circulating online photos of the last solar eclipse from 1979 were shared with a huge title reading "Millions see eclipse; Next showing in 2024".
A total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8, 2024, visible across North America and dubbed the Great North American Eclipse by some media outlets.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.
According to experts, millions of residents in North America will witness a total solar eclipse on April 8 as the moon completely blocks the sun.
According to NASA space agency, the total eclipse will turn the sky into a dark color for a few minutes "as if it were dawn or dusk."
