ALBAWABA - Iraq recently witnessed a tragic incident when a man mistakenly killed his colleague by throwing a knife at him while they were joking together at their workplace.
A video flooding social media captured the incident in question, showing that the colleague was trying to playfully throw an object at the man when he reacted and threw a knife, which lodged into his chest. Local reports revealed later that the man had passed away.
According to Iraqi channel UTV, the incident occurred at a workplace in the city of Basra.

The video sparked anger among social media users on X (formerly known as Twitter), who criticized the man for joking with his friend while holding a knife in his hand.
An X user responded under a post that shared the video, "He committed sins, the first of which was joking with a knife, and the second was removing the knife from the stabbed person, as it is dangerous because it acts as a plug for the wound, and removing it causes severe internal bleeding and greater tissue damage, and the injured person may die within minutes."
He continued, "The best course is to stabilize the knife and transfer him immediately to the hospital."
Another social media user added, "This is one of the worst cases of joking around! Thank God I'm more thoughtful when it comes to joking around."
