ALBAWABA - A Syrian boy died tragically after being run over twice by different vehicles while crossing the street in Turkey.
The 4-year-old Syrian boy died in the city of Adana after being struck by two cars whose drivers failed to see him while he attempted to cross the street.
Khalil, who was trying to pass through cars, was run over while he was along with a mate of his age.
A video captured the moment when the two children tried to cross the street while the traffic light was red, then turned to green and cars started moving before two of them ran over the child twice without noticing him.
One of the children narrowly escaped injury, but the other was run over by a medium-sized truck, whose tyre ran over his body. A second car then struck the child again before other drivers noticed and traffic stopped.
The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, while the car driver carried the child to the hospital, but he died.
Police have detained both drivers and are investigating to determine their responsibility for what happened to the child at the start of his summer vacation.
