ALBAWABA - After rumors regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a Canadian journalist's post has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
A video shared of Netanyahu from a cafe sparked wide reactions online, with many claiming that the video was made by AI because in the video, the prime minister appeared with six fingers in his hand. However, Netanyahu released another video denying rumors of his death.
In response to allegations that the tape was not legitimate, he lifted his hand during the conversation and asked the cameraman if he wanted to count his fingers. Allegations spread online that Netanyahu was killed in an Iranian attack on Israel amid the ongoing tension between the two countries.
'There are credible reports Netanyahu is dead': Canadian journalist
Canadian journalist Mark Slapinski shared on Tuesday a controversial post, reading. "BREAKING: There are credible reports that Netanyahu is DEAD."
But the Canadian journalist didn't share any information that backs his claim regarding reports that Netanyahu could be dead.
However, today, Netanyahu's office shared an image of the prime minister leading the operation that killed Iranian security chief Ali Larijani and other senior officials in the country.
It is worth mentioning that every once in a while rumors claiming that Israel's PM is dead continue to surface on social media.
