Viral video by Nick Shirley triggers fraud investigation on Minnesota daycare centers

ALBAWABA - Conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley recently became the talk of social media after sharing a video during the weekend, accusing a dozen child daycare centers in Minnesota of alleged fraud. 

Shirley's Minnesota fraud video went viral, garnering over 100 million views on X (formerly Twitter) and nearly two million on YouTube. 

Individuals like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Director of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division Kash Patel, and US Vice President JD Vance helped make the video go viral on social media by reposting it on X.

The 45-minute video titled "I Investigated Minnesota’s Billion Dollar Fraud Scandal," in which Nick Shirley went around Minnesota, confronting daycare centers about alleged fraud. 

Shirley wrote in the video's description on YouTube, "In this video I investigate Minnesotas billion dollar fraud scandal involving Tim Walz and the Somali population... if this video gets 100K likes I will do a part 2!" 

The YouTuber claims that the daycare centers were receiving public funds but did not provide any services. The video in question triggered investigations into the Minnesota centers. 

The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families commissioner, Tikki Brown, said, "While we have questions about some of the methods used in the video, we do take the concerns that the video raises about fraud very seriously."
