ALBAWABA - Israel confirmed the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the Saturday attack on Tehran. But how was Tel Aviv able to find the place he was hiding in after Iran's announcement that Khamenei had been moved to a safe place?

According to several accounts on social media, Mossad agents were able to break through the Iranian intelligence and reach high-ranking officials in the Islamic State, including Ali Khamenei.

Was a dentist behind detecting Ali Khamenei?

A viral rumor emerged in the past couple of hours on social media claiming that Mossad agents posed as dentists and gastroenterologists were able to implant GPS trackers in Iranian officials.

According to rumors online, an Israel agent planted a tracker while fixing Iran's Supreme Leader's tooth to keep Israel aware of his constant place, and that's how he was an easy target in the last war with Iran.

An X activist wrote, "I’m hearing that over the past few years Mossad undercover agents infiltrated as doctors and dentists  in Iran. The Dentists gave priority to military, and elite Iranian personnel. While doing a routine dental check up, they implanted tracking devices as fillings for cavities. On the other side, Gastro doctors implanted similar devices in their elite patients.  Yesterday, Mossad knew exactly where each one of them were. Over 400 elite military in government personnel were eliminated in the first few moments."

In addition, several other accounts said that other agents claimed to be gastroenterologists and planted GPS trackers while performing surgeries and checkups for high-ranking officials in the Iranian regime.

However, those claims have not been confirmed by official Israeli or U.S. sources.
