Tunisia forms commission to compensate victims of Ben Ali

Tunisia has formed a commission to investigate abuses inflicted upon the people by former dictator Zine el Abidine Ben Ali.

The second deputy vice-president of Tunisia’s National Constituent Assembly, Larbi Ben Salah Abid, said Thursday that all political parties in Tunisia are awaiting the date of the next presidential and parliamentary elections, which is due to be before the end of 2014. (AFP/File)
