Queen Elizabeth II is being celebrated by the people all over the country marking her Platinum Jubilee, the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II on 6 February 1952.
Britons everywhere in the country have been placing photos of the long-lasting Queen beside the national flags to mark this unique event. Queen Elizabeth II is to make two appearances on the Buckingham Palace balcony on Thursday to mark the start of a 4-day holiday celebrating her historic Platinum Jubilee.
According to sources, this is the first time that any British monarch has celebrated a platinum jubilee. The government has promised a "once-in-a-generation show" that will "mix the best of British ceremonial splendour and pageantry with cutting-edge artistic and technological displays".
