Nine Killed in California Wildfires, 200,00 People Evacuated

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says the Getty wildfire in the city's western neighbourhoods has scorched over 600 acres as 9 people were declared dead on Friday.

Around 1,100 firefighters headed to Los Angeles County to fight the fires overnight, desperately spraying the Brentwood area.

The fires have sent tens of thousands of locals fleeing, left millions without power, and turned the ocean in Malibu pink with a fire retardant.

Some celebrities have stood up to support California such as actor John Cena pledged to make a $500,000 donation to help the firefighters.
