Human Crisis at Belarus-Poland Border

Published November 15th, 2021 - 08:57 GMT

The migrant crisis intensifies between Belarus and Poland as the first is accused of forcibly pushing refugees to cross into the European country. Thousands of people are stuck on the Belarus-Polish border lacking basic humanitarian aid.

The Iraqi government revealed that at least 571 citizens are stuck in eight camps on the Belarus-Polish border. Authorities also revealed that they are ready to send a special plane to repatriate Iraqi citizens who want to return voluntarily.

The tough situation on the border has left many migrants in a difficult position to access basic life needs including food and water; A Syrian man was found dead near Wólka Terechowska.

Both countries have been sending thousands of troops towards the border in fear of possible war amid escalating migrant crisis.
