France has finally opened the Louvre Museum on Monday which is considered as the world's most visited museum.

The Louvre, which was a former palace for France's kings, predicted to have lost over 40 million euros in ticket sales during COVID-19 shutdown.

The museum is divided to several sections including Egyptian antiquities, Near Eastern antiquities, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman department, Islamic art, Sculptures, and Paintings.

On the other hand, during Nazi occupation, thousands of artworks were stolen. But after the war, 61,233 articles of more than 150,000 seized artworks returned to France and were assigned to the Louvre's Office des Biens Privés.
