Mazayin Dhafra Camel Festival was held in the desert near the city of Madinat Zayed, some 150 kms west of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi recently. According to sources, the camel festival, which attracts participants from around the Gulf region, includes a camel beauty contest, a display of UAE handcrafts and other activities aimed at promoting the country's folklore. Brazil has been hit with a heavy rains in the state of Minas Gerais and led to the death of at least 10 people in two days, an official report stated on Tuesday. The report also warned of further, more devastating downpours in the region.
