Al-Ettifaq are in contact with Tottenham over a possible deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to Tribal Football.

Al-Ettifaq boss Steven Gerrard is eyeing the Danish star as a replacement for Jordan Henderson who recently left for Ajax.

The Saudi side is also interested in Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure who is Gerrard's priority.

Hojbjerg started the season on the bench, but became an important player for Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou gradually in recent weeks.

The Dane is wanted in Italy and Spain, but may be tempted by the Saudis this month.
