Arsenal v Crystal Palace: Projected Lineups As Palace Hope New Signings Boost Chances

Arsenal were amongst a group of clubs that did little to strengthen in the January transfer window. The Gunners balked at a massive price tag for Schalke 04 star Julian Draxler and only brought in veteran midfielder Kim Kallstrom in a rather unpredicted loan deal.

However, Kallstrom joined the side and has already been delayed in making his debut thanks an existing injury that could see him sitting next to the very man, Aaron Ramsey, he was expected to be cover for.

The Gunners are likely to keep close to the same squad that drew with Southampton in midweek and will hope that Crystal Palace do not have as impressive of a performance as the Saints did several days ago or they could be in trouble.

While Arsene Wenger did little business in the January market, Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis made a strong effort to strengthen his side with several interesting signings that should be bear immediate fruit is utilized properly.

The additions of Scott Dann and Wayne Hennessey give great depth to the defensive side of the club while Jason Puncheon made his move to Selhurst Park permanent.

However, the additions of Joe Ledley from Celtic and the shock loan move for Tom Ince from Blackpool could have a major effect on the offensive side as Pulis has made his attacking options much more interesting.

With Marouane Chamakh unable to play against his parent club, Dwight Gale, Ince and Ledley could all be thrust into the first team.

Arsenal XI: Szczesny: Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Rosicky; Gnabry, Ozil, Cazorla; Giroud.

Crystal Palace XI: Speroni: Mariappa, Gabbidon, Dann, Parr; Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley, Ince; Jerome, Gale.
