Belgium and Iran finished with a 0-0 draw today at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA, in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage.

This is the third goalless draw of the current tournament, following the 0-0 games between Spain and Cape Verde in the first round, and Ecuador and Curacao in the second round.

Match Highlights and Goals

Belgium dominated possession and created plenty of chances, but they couldn't get past Iran's brilliant goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand and a solid defense that shut down all paths to the goal.

Things got even more complicated for Belgium when defender Nathan Ngoy was sent off in the 66th minute. A poor backpass to his goalkeeper allowed an Iranian striker to intercept the ball, forcing Ngoy to commit a foul that earned him a straight red card.

As it stands, Iran temporarily tops Group G with 2 points, followed by Belgium in second place with 2 points. New Zealand is third with 1 point, and Egypt sits in fourth with 1 point.
