A massive clash of attacking forces will meet this Saturday, as Manchester City play hosts to table toppers Arsenal.

This is a massive fixture for both clubs as Arsenal look to gain space at the top and City aim to keep the title attainable.  Currently Arsenal sit a top the league, 5 points above second place Liverpool and 6 points above fourth place City.

City have been absolutely magnificent at home this year, embarrassing any club that has visited the Eastlands.  Manchester City have recorded wins against Newcastle (4-0), Hull City (2-0), across town rivals Manchester United (4-1), Everton (3-1), Norwhich (7-0), Tottenham (6-0), and finally Swansea (3-0).

This glut of goals at the Etihad has been eye opening to fans and opponents alike. City has taken no prisoners and played outstanding football at home this season.

Arsenal head to Manchester after squeaking through their group of death in the UEFA Champions League this past Wednesday.  They lost 2-0 to Italian side Napoli, surviving the group simply on goal differential between Dortmund and Napoli.  City won a great defeat in Germany on Tuesday, defeating holders, Bayern Munich, coming back from two goals down to win 3-2.

Confidence is high for City, but they face an extremely difficult test tomorrow.

Team News

Manchester City

City will be without defender Micha Richards, who has suffered a muscle injury in training. Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure will be brought back into the squad after sitting out the midweek fixture.

City have scored in 57 consecutive home games, a run that stretches back to November of 2010.

Manchester City have tallied a total of 29 home goals this season.

Defender Bacary Sagna will be a game time decision, he is nursing a hamstring injury.  Forward/winger Lucas Podolski is healthy again, but lacking match fitness-he is unlikely to feature.

Arsenal, unsurprisingly, has the leagues best away from, amassing 16 points.

Arsene Wenger is one point shy of earning his 1300 point as Arsenal gaffer.

Players to watch

Sergio Aguero: Aguero has been outstanding in front of goal this season.  He has already amassed 12 premier league goals-18 in all competitions.

Mesut Ozil: Ozil has not disappointed, since joining the Gunners this summer. He has 4 goals and 12 assists thus far in his first Premiership campaign.

City's home record has been nothing short of immaculate, coupled with a massive comeback win midweek against German giants Bayern Munich, I fully expect Manchester City to earn 3 points this weekend.

3-1 Final
