Oman Football Association on Saturday confirmed that in partnership with Victory Sports and it’s Taj brand, it has teamed up with the Italian sports apparel manufacturer, Kappa, according to a press release.
In a 4-year deal, Kappa will produce the kit worn by all the Oman National football teams bearing the Omani Taj mark, and to provide Oman with a large range of sportswear specific for the country.
Oman Football Association Commercial Director, Nic Cartwright, outlined the deal: “Kappa are one of the world’s leading apparel brands and the deal brings professional sports kit with top-end innovative clothing technologies, improved quality of product, and this deal means we have far more products in the Taj range to offer to professional athletes and our fans.
“We are excited be in a partnership with a company that has as much experience as Kappa.”
The deal will see both names (Kappa & Taj) on the kit worn by the National team and on all retail items.
Kappa and OFA will work together on activities from design to delivery and distribution.
The Chairman of the OFA, Sayyid Khalid Al Busaidi, was pleased to predict a bright future for the Taj brand – “The deal is an innovative one, with Kappa seeing the benefit in working with Taj in Oman.
“We are passionate about building the awareness of Oman through football. And linking to Kappa’s network will allow for rapid expansion.”
