Spain won their second World Cup title in history. They fully deserved it as they controlled the game, kept the ball, and were the better team during regular and extra time. On the other hand, Argentina looked tired and did not create any real danger. Things got worse for Argentina when Enzo Fernandez got a red card.

At the start of the second half of extra time, the ball reached Nico Williams. He headed it to his teammate Ferran Torres, who hit a powerful shot to score the winning goal for Spain in the 106th minute, winning the 2026 World Cup for his country.
