While France and Germany are the major European battle of the World Cup quarterfinals, Brazil and Colombia are the Great South American one.

Both sides have been impressive this summer, but Colombia has seemed to have a more cutting edge and deadlier killer instinct and Brazil could be pushed to their breaking point in front of their home crowd.

Brazil knocked out fellow South American's Chile in penalties following extra time to get to the quarterfinals while Colombia routinely dispatched another South American side in the Luis Suarez-less Uruguay.

Once again it is seeing the chance of an all South American final rapidly going away as Brazil and Colombia are the only two left in their bracket while Argentina is all that remains in the Saturday rounds.

Colombia have the ability to knock out Brazil and they are certain to want to get the best of their countryman on their home turf and it could be a crazy night and remainder of the competition if the favored home nation fail to advance.

Brazil have a few injury concerns with Luis Gustavo ruled out and Marcelo looking set to miss out as well with Fernandinho and Maxwell set to deputize.

Brazil Starting XI: Cesar: Alves, Silva, Luiz, Maxwell; Paulinho, Fernandinho; Hulk, Oscar, Neymar; Fred.

Colombia Starting XI: Ospina: Zuniga, Zapata, Yepes, Armero; Cuadrado, Sanchez, Aguilar, Rodriguez; Martinez, Gutierrez.
