Dolly Shaheen has been convicted by an Egyptian court for plagiarizing the lyrics and composition of the song “Etiquette,” and has been sentenced to pay a fine of 10,000 Egyptian Pounds. Singer Samah Abd Al Fatah officially owns the rights to the song, according to the court's ruling.

Samah had filed a lawsuit against Dolly accusing her of stealing the lyrics for her song, “Ana Ijeet” (I came) and had given it the title “Etiquette”. Samah said that producer Muhsin Jaber had launched the song sung by Dolly on the music channel ‘Mazika’.

Samah stated that she had bought the song from song writer Mohammad Abd Allah and composer Alaa Ghunaym. Samah had presented all official documents for the song to the court to prove she was robbed. After investigating the matter Dolly and Muhsin were brought in for questioning and Dolly was found guilty and Muhsin was acquitted.
