OFID to Pump $1.6 Billion Into Energy Investments in Arab Region

The Opec Fund for International Development (OFID) is financing energy projects worth $1.6 billion in Arab countries, said Suleiman Al-Herbish, director-general of OFID.

One third of the funds, i.e. $111 million, has been allocated to areas of energy, water, agriculture, irrigation, and transport in low-income countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. (Boureima Hama/ AFP)
