Work on the new BD1 billion Northern Town will be completed on schedule. Bahrain's Housing and Urban Development Committee secretary-general Ma'moon Almoayyed made this comment as the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) held a technical presentation on the 1,067 hectare housing development.
The new town, in the north-western part of the kingdom, will be divided into 19 separate islands, connected by bridges, the GDN reported.
Upon completion, the new project will accommodate more than 99,000 people.
