The Arab Company for Livestock Development (Acolid) reportedly earned more than 1 billion Saudi riyals ($269.4 million) since its establishment nearly 23 years ago and up untill the end of 2000.
Throughout this period, Acolid has invested directly and indirectly in 34 projects in ten Arab states, according to Al-Hayat daily. In addition, the company recently allocated $36.3 million to poultry and cattle projects in the region.
Acolid, whose Director General is Abdullah T. al-Thunayan, is a joint venture run by the Arab League and based in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. –(MENA Report)
