General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence, has approved plans for the construction of a new 70-storey, 5-star, Dh 800 million ($218 million) luxury hotel in Dubai. According to Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Emirates, "The launch of 350 metres high building on Shaikh Zayed Road, will be among the world's five tallest hotels, and also one of the largest in the U.A.E."
