Egyptian Company for Mobile Services – ECMS (EMOB.CA) announced on February 15 that the company has signed an agreement with Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK). The agreement requires Nokia to provide ECMS with equipment to support their General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) plans.
Moreover, ECMC Chairman Osman Sultan announced that the company’s 2001 capital expenditure is expected to reach LE900 million, LE50 million higher than previously announced.
Industrial Engineering Enterprise Company -IEEC (IEEC.CA) held its ordinary general assembly on February 15, which approved FY2000 financial statements and the distribution of a cash dividend of LE2.50/share to be announced at a later date.
Pfizer Egypt (PFIZ.CA) announced that it registered its shares in the general depositary system effective March 20.
