International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised BH Macro Limited ("BH Macro") and BH Global Limited ("BH Global"), in relation to their secondary listings on the Dubai International Financial Exchange (“DIFX”).
BH Macro and BH Global, which are both closed ended investment companies managed by Brevan Howard, are the first investment funds to be listed on the DIFX.
Freshfields previously advised BH Macro, the first feeder fund for a hedge fund to be admitted to London’s main list, on its initial public offering and admission to London’s main market in March 2007. Freshfields also advised BH Global on its initial public offering and London listing in May 2008, the largest London listing of an investment company to date this year. In addition, Freshfields advised in relation to the recent listing of each of BH Macro and BH Global on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The international Freshfields team working on the listing included lawyers from Freshfields’ London office led by corporate partner Jonathan Baird with associates Margaret Lu and Cindy Pang and, in relation to the DIFX listing, from Freshfields’ Dubai office led by corporate partner Bruce Embley and senior associate, Aryan Schoorl.
