Gamal Mubarak speaks on economic development to NDP youth

Gamal Mubarak, the son of President Husni Mubarak and himself a member of the National Democratic Party general secretariat, commended Egypt’s economic progress at a meeting last week with the party’s youth secretariat.  

 

Mubarak maintained that the nation’s economic reform program was a success, and that he approved of the exchange rate scheme as a means of attaining further growth, reported MENA

 

He expressed hope that inter-Arab trade would strengthen, and stated that an Arab economic conference would be held at some time next year. In addition, he added that economic development of the Suez Canal would be promoted at the next meeting of the People’s Assembly.  

 

President Mubarak’s son also stressed the important role Egypt’s youth had to play in the continued realization of the country’s achievements. He added that major training programs were underway in so that the nation’s vast human resources would be utilized and unemployment reduced.  

 

Mubarak went on to mention the recent training project of the Youth of the Future Society, which had recently trained 5,000 young Egyptians. The Society plans to train an additional 15,000 more in upcoming years. — (Mena Report)
