Syed Raza Ali Gillani, the Punjab Housing and Urban Development minister, was recently quoted as saying that the chief executives of various foreign construction companies, including from the Gulf region, would visit the province on January 18 in connection with the Punjab government’s Sasti Basti project.
According to Gillani, the investors from Qatar and Abu Dhabi will meet him and other departmental heads to invest in the housing sector. He said that an increase in residential facilities was the top priority of the government. As reported in the Daily Times, he said that the government had activated the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency and was encouraging foreign investors and private developers.
