According to <i>Al-Mendhar</i> newspaper, Mr. Hadeib Majhoul, Head of Managerial Board of the Al-Talaba Club in Baghdad, (means Students), said that his club had received a ID 30 million donation from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education.
The club also received a bus and two cars for the managerial staff. The manager added that the club had submitted to the players their salaries for the last two months. The stability in the club enabled it to record successive victories in the league, the manager added. It's worth mentioning that the Iraqi Clubs had won a lot of champions and tournament in the Arab Competition and did a good job in Asian Tournament. For example Police club won the First Arab Club Champions Cup 1982 and Al-Rashid club won the Arab Club Champions Cup 3 times 85, 86 and 87.
