Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) announced Wednesday, October 3, it was reducing flights to some Arab destinations throughout October due to the international situation. A KAC statement said Sunday flights to Damascus will be cancelled along with Monday flights to Beirut, Tuesday flights to Amman and Thursday flights to Doha.

Public relations manager Adel Buresli said KAC was cutting down on a number of flights this month "due to the current events." The statement also said the schedule for November had not yet been changed, subject to further notice.

KAC said last week that it was canceling flights to Islamabad and Lahore as of September 30 due to the rise in operational costs and world events in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks in New York and Washington.

KAC normally flies daily to Damascus and Beirut, six times a week to Doha and five times to Amman. ― (AFP, Kuwait City)
