Kuwaiti process plant company inks deal with Contractors Union

Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction and Contracting announced Sunday that it signed a one million Kuwaiti dinar contract for the supply of asphalt to the Contractors Union Company for use in the Abdali Road maintenance project.

A statement issued by Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) said that the contract is for the supply of 100,000 tons of asphalt over a period of 24 months, commencing this month.

The company, established in 1979, is currently working on projects with the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), the Amiri Diwan, Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) headquarters, sewage pipe networks around the country, as well as the installation and maintenance of elevators at Kuwait International Airport, Burgan Bank headquarters and Arraya Complex, <i>KUNA</i> reported.

The company's profits had fallen to 1.493 million Kuwaiti dinars last year, after having been at 1.836 million in 2003.
