KVH Industries has received orders from Saudi Arabia and Oman’s Ministries of Defense and the US Marine Corps for its tactical navigation systems (TACNAV), valued at $750,000. The company anticipates that it will ship the orders during the first half of 2003.

"TACNAV systems have been aboard UK army vehicles since 2001 and have proven their value in peacekeeping and counter-terrorism operations conducted in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan," remarked KVH President and Chief Executive Officer, Martin Kits Van Heyningen.

The TACNAV product family has been chosen by many NATO countries, including the United States, Canada, Sweden, Britain, Spain, and Italy, as well as allied countries around the globe, making TACNAV the most widely fielded tactical navigation system in the industry.

KVH Industries designs and manufactures products that enable mobile communication, navigation, and precision pointing through the use of its proprietary mobile satellite antenna and fiber optic technologies. KVH has headquarters in the US and a European sales, marketing, and support office in Hoersholm, Denmark. — (menareport.com)
