Joe Rogan Experience #2255 - Mark Zuckerberg/ Apple

ALBAWABA - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently made headlines after criticizing tech-giant Apple during an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience for not innovating anything new and claiming that it is merely a shadow of its past self.

During his interview with Joe Rodan, Zuckerberg also brought up topics like hardware and ecosystem advancements, further slamming Apple for its outdated specifications compared to other competitors such as Samsung. He further added that the company is "squeezing people" for money.

A social media user on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) wrote, "I don’t upgrade my phones like I used to, I used to have a new one yearly. butttt i realized they make the same phone over & over…"

Moreover, Meta's CEO told Rogan during a three-hour discussion, "They haven't really invented anything great in a while. It's like Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, and now they're just kind of sitting on it 20 years later."

He continued, "I think sales might actually be declining. I think part of it is that each generation of iPhones doesn't actually get that much better. So people are just taking longer to upgrade than they would before."

Mark Zuckerberg also took jabs at Apple's business practices, specifically "Apple tax," in reference to the 30 percent tax Apple demands from developers looking into publishing their apps on the App Store. On the contrary, developers are expected to pay a flat fee of $25 to publish apps on the Play Store, according to Google.

Zuckerberg's criticism of Apple sparked debate among social media users who blasted Zuckerberg for the exact accusations he made about the tech giant including copying competitors such as Snapchat and TikTok by introducing some of their ideas in Meta apps like Instagram and Facebook.

"Meta hasn’t invented anything great in a while. it’s like Mark Zuckerberg bought Instagram and the Oculus Rift and now they’re kind of sitting on it years later."

Another social media user added, "This is what "I'm sorry, I wanna be on the winning side" looks like," referring to claims that Zuckerberg is trying to cozy up for presidential elect Donald Trump.
