MedNet United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently held its fifth partner forum, Dialogue Session, at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi. Dialogue Session was first started in April 2001. The Sessions have proved to be a major learning tool for MedNet's partners, according to a company press release.
“We had a special guest speaker, Gerry Raftopoulos, from our Greek office who has joined us this time,” said Christoph Schult, MedNet UAE general manager. “Gerry has considerable experience with setting up Information Technology (IT) infrastructures in this field and he was able to share some of this experience with our partners.”
Raftopoulos, IT director at MedNet International (MNI), Greece discussed future plans for utilizing IT to improve the delivery and management of health care services. While in Dubai he also appraised the efficiency of the IT systems employed at MedNet UAE. “MedNet UAE currently employs advanced IT systems for efficient functioning which in turn helps the organisation provide quality service to its clients at a lower cost,” said Raftopoulos.
Mustafa Melhem, network manager of MedNet's Jordan office, also joined Raftopoulos on the speaker's panel and discussed network strategy and fraud and abuse detection at provider level. The Dialogue Session was conceived as a forum where MedNet and its partners could discuss issues freely. The idea was to be more transparent in operations. 24 delegates from eight different insurance companies attended the event this time. — (menareport.com)
