Meta apologizes for deleting Malaysian PM post about Ismail Haniyeh
After Meta "accidentally" deleted his posts, PM Anwar Ibrahim described the tech company as "cowards" for removing posts that are offering condolences to Hamas' Ismail Haniyeh.
Last week, Ibrahim posted a photo of himself with Haniyeh at their meeting in Qatar and a video offering condolences to Hamas' former leader.
Ibrahim faced a similar issue in May when Meta reposted content after removing it from the Prime Minister's account. Additionally, Meta also said that it was deleted by mistake raising the suspicions further since the company has been accused of censoring pro-Palestine content since Oct. 7, 2023.
Several users took to the post's comment section and expressed their opinions about the matter, here's what they had to say:
"Yes it's wrong for them to remove but to be fair it's Meta's platform and we are not paying to use it so they have the ultimate say on this."
"Why are there so many Zionists clicking the laughing emoji?"
