MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) on Sunday announced a series of price reductions for international calls to countries in the Gulf, Middle East, Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
MTC-Vodafone customers will be able to enjoy savings of up to 20% by taking advantage of lower International call rates in the Kingdom. For example, calling popular international destinations such as India and Pakistan now costs 208 fils per minute (flat rate), UK and USA now costs 200 fils per minute in peak time (7 a.m. to 7p.m.) and 144 fils per minute during the off-peak time (7 p.m.-7a.m.). Kuwait now costs 180 fils per minute in peak time (7a.m. to 7p.m.) and 144 fils per minute during the off-peak time (7 p.m.-7a.m.), while calling other GCC countries (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) now costs 190 fils per minute in peak time and 152 fils per minute during off-peak .
In commenting on this announcement, Mahmoud Hashish, Chief Commercial Officer and Acting Chief Operation Officer at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), said:” We wanted to share the joy of a liberalized telecom sector with our customers. This reduction on international call rates follows a number of innovative programs that MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) launched to the Bahraini market earlier this season as part of the Kingdom’s First ‘Summer Mania’ activities which runs until September 1st. The ‘Summer Mania’ initiative also includes new flat roaming rates for eeZee customers. Newcomers can also benefit from the eeZee BD8 offer, by paying BD8 customers get an initial call credit of BD8 and the opportunity to enjoy, with all other customers, the exciting services of WOW Portfolio for only 50% of the charges. MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) also launched this summer the ‘Refer a Friend’ initiative to reward dedicated customers with a chance to enter the ‘Summer Mania’ bi-weekly raffle draws when they inspire their friends or family members to subscribe to MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) mobile services (eeZee family or Hewar).
