People frequently shared videos testing the vehicle to verify Musk's claims. Last May, YouTuber Zach Nelson, who owns the JerryRigEverything channel, posted a video where he shot a Cybertruck using various weapons. The truck withstood shots from a 9mm pistol and a .22 caliber rifle, but significant damage was inflicted by shots from a .17 caliber rifle and an AR-15.
According to the Daily Mail, Tesla’s Cybertruck is made of a stainless-steel alloy that is claimed to withstand low-velocity gunfire, but it is not completely bulletproof.
Automotive experts stated that the Cybertruck can withstand low-velocity bullets, such as those fired from handguns, but it cannot withstand faster bullets like those from an AR-15 rifle. Additionally, experts warned against shooting at a metal object from close range, as it may cause the bullet to ricochet, posing a danger to the shooter.
