ALBAWABA - With 8.6 million tickets sold, the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris surpassed all Games records as people are very excited for the upcoming event.
Tony Estanguet, Paris 2024 President, mentioned exceeding the record of Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics which sold 8.3 million tickets back at the time. Estanguet reported selling 8.6 million tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympics and more than 1 million tickets for the Paralympic Games. He also stressed on providing additional tickets for many other sports and games.

Paris 2024 Olympics' organizers are anticipating selling around 10 million tickets in the sports tournament which is held between July 26 and August 11 and around 3.4 million tickets in the Paralympic Games, which are held from August 28 to September 8.

As reported by AFP, a recent study by the Center for Law and Economics of Sport (CDES) predicted vast economic growth for Paris during the Paris 2024 Olympics. The study is expecting potential gains of €8.9 billion ($9.6 billion) for the city in summer 2024.
Paris 2024 Olympics will witness around 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees competing in different sports like 3X3 Basketball, Archery, Artistic Gymnastics, Artistic Swimming, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Breaking, Canoe Slalom, Canoe Sprint, and many others.
The summer edition of the Olympic Games is normally held every four years. Los Angeles in the USA will host the next Olympic Games from 14 to 30 July 2028 and Brisbane in Australia will host the upcoming summer games in 2032.
