360 visual reality The new standard

Immersive photos and videos have been the buzz of late, thanks to advances in camera technology that allow capturing still and moving images in full 360-degree mode.

Previously, it took an expensive suite of professional equipment to be able to do this, however smartphones these days have made 360-cameras not only possible; but also light, convenient and easy to carry around.

Powered by a long-lasting 1,200mAh battery, and because it has no power-draining apps, it is capable of recording 70 minutes-worth of videos that can be handily saved on the internal 4GB memory and can be supplemented by a microSD card. It also has a USB-C port and tripod mount.

In addition, the LG 360 CAM provides 2K video resolutions that compare well with other stand-alone 360 cameras; while the 5.1 surround channel recording on three microphones helps users effortlessly create high-quality 360-degree contents.

Value-added extras include being able to manually adjust the shutter speed, ISO and white balance for greater image quality. The LG 360 Cam connects using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with viewing, previewing and settings controls easily managed via the connected smartphone app.

And thanks to LG’s partnership with Google, images taken with the 360 CAM can be uploaded to Google Street View and YouTube360, adding the fun of sharing creative contents with others. The images will also be available to view on the LG 360 VR or other smartphones or devices that are capable of 360-degree content.
