Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Discusses Syrian Refugee Crisis With Norwegian Ambassador

Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and the Ambassador discussed the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan and the impact resulted from hosting them on the Jordanian economy.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh received the Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, Mrs. Tone Elisabeth Allers at his office and discussed various key issues and the importance of the Jordanian-Norwegian relations in all sectors.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the Ambassador also discussed the Syrian refugees in Jordan and the negative impact resulted from hosting them on the economy.

The Ambassador stressed on the support by the Norwegian Government presented to the refugees at Zatari Camp while Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh shared with the Ambassador the role played by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) especially in the educational support provided by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University to the Syrian refugees in order to get their BA degrees online with the collaboration of British Council.

Ambassador Allers and Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh agreed on the fact that Jordan is a tourist country, but awareness is needed to boost the tourism in general, and they have discussed methods for attracting Norwegian and International investments to Jordan in order to boost the economy and create job opportunities.

Ambassador Allers expressed her appreciation for the leading role played by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) locally, regionally and internationally, and its distinguished services delivered in various cities around the world.

She stressed the willingness of the Norwegian Embassy in Amman to support efforts in the development of the national economy especially in the fields of Education, Energy and Environment, and to discuss ways of attracting investments that contribute to the acceleration of development.

In response, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that TAG-Org and all its 106 offices around the world are at the service of the Norwegian Embassy.
