Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group and Sultan Al Habtoor, President of Al Habtoor Motors were among the first to get a glimpse of Al Habtoor Motors latest offering to the UAE’s auto sector. The two businessmen attended a private viewing of the Chery lineup, which is soon coming to UAE courtesy of Al Habtoor Motors.

Khalaf Al Habtoor personally inspected the Chinese vehicles, which will be officially introduced to the UAE market in the upcoming weeks. Al Habtoor noted “Chery is a world-renowned and respectable brand and I am confident that it will be received well in the UAE, equally as it has been accepted across Asia, Central America, South America and South Africa.”

The unveiling comes after Al Habtoor Motors signed an exclusive deal with China’s top selling car brand earlier in the year.  The contract was signed by Sultan Al Habtoor and Michael Zhang, Deputy General Manager of Middle East Region for Chery.

As one of the foremost companies under the Al Habtoor Group banner, Al Habtoor Motors has been a leading player in the regional automotive market since 1983. With distribution exclusivity for the Mitsubishi, Fuso, Temsa, Bentley, Bugatti and McLaren in the UAE, Chery will complement the Al Habtoor Motors vehicle range by bringing in five of its reliable and affordable models offering customers something new.

The much anticipated launch of the Chery showroom in Dubai is planned for the end of October. The public will be able to attend the official unveiling of the Al Habtoor Motor’s latest dealership acquisition at the Dubai International Motor Show, November 5-9, 2013.

“We will be targeting fleet buyers along with individual customers. Needless to say, we are thrilled about the new member of our Al Habtoor Motors family and are confident that Chery will make its way to the UAE roads in greater numbers year on year,” said Joe Rogan, Sales Director of Al Habtoor Motors.

Chery Automobiles, which was founded in 1997, manufactures passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and minivans in various segments and has global presence in over 80 countries. As a part of this collaboration, Al Habtoor Motors will be introducing the complete Chery range in the passenger and commercial vehicles.  “Introducing Chery in the UAE was a very strategic decision for Al Habtoor Motors. We are impressed by the fast growth, innovation and competitive range that is visible in the Chery line up. We believe that this is great news for all the residents of the UAE,” Rogan added.
