BAC hosts an exclusive educational tour at BIA for the children of Alia Center for Early Intervention

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) gave an exclusive tour for the children of Alia Center for Early Intervention as part of its CSR Strategy activities.

The Tour took place at BIA where a total of sixty teachers and children where received by Bahrain Airport Company Corporate Communication Team, AOD Duty Officers and Ministry of Interior (Airport Police). The tour included Check in counters, passport control, transit counters, arrival passport control, custom and luggage receiving area and travelers screenings, safety procedures for a hassle free travel experience were further explained, in addition to a walk through duty free shops. The tour program ended with a lunch meal at BIA with gift tokens for all Alia Center Children.

Mr. Mohammed Al BinFalah, Chief Executive Officer said: “We are delighted to receive the children of Alia Center for Early Intervention at BIA for a tour that further contributes to their awareness and understanding of the aviation sector and the role of Bahrain International Airport. BAC will continue to host such educational tours for the children with special needs and to members of society who need our care.  Our initiatives are part of our growing support for charitable and social-oriented programs and will remain committed to continuously extend our outreach and CSR initiatives”.

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision.  In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.

Alia For Early Intervention offers evaluation, early Intervention Services and case management to eligible children and their families. Children eligible for services must be: at least eighteen months of age at the time of referral, and suspected of developmental delay or diagnosed with a physical or mental condition, resulting in a high probability of delay in the following areas: Cognitive development, Communication development, Social or emotional development, Physical development.
