BisB Organizes Various Humanitarian and Voluntary Initiatives

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading provider of Islamic digital banking services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced that its volunteering team, Jood, is organizing various humanitarian and voluntary initiatives during the month of August, including the distribution of cold refreshments and hats to workers at different outdoor locations such as petrol stations, construction sites, roads, and more. The team will also visit children with cancer at numerous hospitals, offering them gifts.
The initiatives reflect BisB’s belief in the importance of giving back to the community. It also underscores its efforts to embed a spirit of volunteering between all community members, which represents an integral part of the Bahraini culture of generosity and social solidarity. This also comes in celebration of World Humanitarian Day, which takes place every year on the 19th of August.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ali Hasan Duaij, Head of Corporate Communications & Brand at BisB, said: “Since the launch of our Corporate Social Responsibility platform, Jood, we have diversified our efforts and goals to include all segments of our community. We are pleased to organize these initiatives, through which we hope to put a smile on people’s faces, ease their suffering, and help alleviate their difficult circumstances.”
Team Jood was established in March 2019, consisting of BisB employees who aim to contribute to the community through several volunteering initiatives in line with BisB’s social responsibility towards the community.
