In its latest endeavor to inspire Kuwaiti youth and engage with the local community, Burgan Bank participated in Al-Bayan Bilingual School’s (BBS) annual carnival as platinum sponsor. The event, which is organized by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), is a BBS effort that aims at fortifying and developing its community through multiple valuable initiatives. It is also dedicated to welcoming the School’s 2,700 students back on campus, in addition to 1,380 families and 350 teachers.

The carnival hosted a full day that seamlessly merged fun and value. For eight hours, students and their families were presented with multiple engaging activities and games fit for different age groups. In addition, a dedicated marketplace offered everything from a quality retail shopping experience to food stalls.

All carnival proceeds go into the development and support of the BBS community through PTA’s initiatives. These initiatives span multiple crucial topics, including: mental and physical well-being; sustainability and the environment; and reviving the Arabic language. All initiatives are designed to marry education, awareness, and fun, guaranteeing optimal engagement and benefit for the students.

Commenting on the Bank’s platinum sponsorship and its support for the BBS carnival, Ms. Lolwa Al-Khatrash, Senior Manager of Products and Segments at Burgan Bank, said: “As community enablers, we greatly value the role of education in shaping the future generations and light bearers of our nation. Our participation in, and sponsorship of, BBS’s annual bazaar was an excellent opportunity for us to contribute to the development of our community’s youth through spreading awareness on essential financial literacy basics - as well as Burgan’s youth-dedicated accounts, such as Al-Rateb, Kanz, and others.”

Al-Khatrash added that the Burgan Bank participating staff had many surprises up their sleeves for the carnival attendees, including a wide range of gifts.

As a dedicated corporate citizen, Burgan Bank continues to dedicate a lot of effort to community development and youth empowerment. The Bank achieves this through its far-reaching awareness campaigns, events, and engaging activities.
