Chalhoub group wins retailer of the year at the CEO ME award

Chalhoub Group’s Joint CEO Patrick Chalhoub was named Retailer of the year at the 2011 CEO Middle East Awards on Tuesday night.

The CEO Awards recognize and reward outstanding success, innovation and ethics across Middle Eastern Business. The awards honour CEO’s through the appreciation of innovative business, business excellence and overall business success, plus acknowledge publicly the vital contribution made by individuals and their companies to the vibrancy of business across the region.

“Patrick Chalhoub has already had many years of great success under his belt, however, it is in the last year, during the most challenging of economic conditions, that he has really stood head and shoulders above the rest of the region’s retail industry.

The company’s growth plans, in particular its push to open dozens of new stores in the UAE over the next two years, is nothing short of remarkable,” said Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Publishing Group.
