Under the slogan "Happy, Empowered, Safe and Aware of Their Rights Children” the Community Development Authority is taking part in the "Back to School" campaign at the Dubai Mall. The participation aims to raise awareness among families of Children’s rights, stipulated in the UAE Federal Law No. 3 of 2016; including the right of education.

Through an array of activities at the Mall, CDA is working to promote social cohesion, family ties, encourage volunteerism, and the implementation of precautionary measures by families to protect children from getting lost in shopping malls.

Community Development Authority

​​​The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
